2-hour Lake Dora & Dora Canal Guided Tour

Enjoy a fabulous, 2-hour guided and narrated, drive your own boat tour of Lake Dora and the fabled Dora Canal. The 2-hour tour of Lake Dora & the Dora Canal will be available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (Closed Tuesdays). Our expert tour guide will share some fascinating history of this area including some of it's famous visitors over the last two centuries.

The tour price has a built-in $10.00 savings with unassisted online booking. With unassisted online booking the cost of the tour now through January 31, 2026 is $160.00 per boat ($80.00 per peson) plus tax/fee Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (CLOSED on Tuesday) and $189.00 per boat ($94.50 per person) plus tax/fee Saturday and Sunday. Boat holds up to 2 people. (Gratuities not included). The cost of the tour if booking by phone through our reservation agent is $170.00 plus tax per boat Monday through Friday and $189.00 per boat plus tax Saturday and Sunday.

The cost of the tour after February 1, 2026 is $170.00 per boat ($85.00 per peson) plus tax/fee Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (CLOSED on Tuesdays) and $185.00 per boat ($97.50 per person) plus tax/fee Saturday and Sunday. Boat holds up to 2 people. (Gratuities not included). The cost of the tour if booking by phone through our reservation agent is $180.00 plus tax per boat Monday through Friday and $195.00 per boat plus tax Saturday and Sunday.
Currently our daily tour schedule features departure times of; 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

We reserve the right to change the tour route based on weather conditions or potential dangerous conditions such as fallen trees or debris in the waterway. In the event this happens you will have the option to reschedule or we will take you on a safer route to ensure your 2-hour adventure.

CatBoat Tours will provide you with:

No boating experience necessary.

Instruction will be given before the tour leaves the dock.



Important: Depending on the weather you may get wet. It is rare but the weather may change while we are on tour. Please dress accordingly. Boating shoes or non-marking soft soled shoes or sandals are recommended.

Customers may bring the following items:

  • Camera
  • Additional, non-alcoholic beverages
  • Sun Block
  • Proper clothing for boating (Please dress according to the weather)
  • Sunglasses

If the tour has not been paid for or scheduled you must call and schedule a tour at one of the available times or dates or at a custom time we will arrange with you. Custom tours apply to groups of four or more only.

Rules of the tour

The tour is paid in full at the time of the reservation. All sales are FINAL! In the event of a canceled tour due to weather you will be rescheduled or provided with a gift certificate to use at anytime in the future.

Boats may only be driven by the designated driver(s) on the contract. In order to a motorboat of ten (10) horsepower or greater, Florida law requires anyone who was born on or after Jan. 1, 1988 to successfully complete an approved boating safety course and obtain a Boating Safety Education Identification Card issued by the FWC. Florida does not have a "boating license." If you were born prior to January 1, 1988 you may operate a boat in Florida without a Boating Safety Education I.D. Card but we highly recommend you complete the course and obtain your I.D. Card.
